For several years, plans have been materializing for the transition to privately owned residences in Scotia. Some zoning changes have been made. More rezoning is proposed along with subdividing to allow for the sale of individual parcels. The formation of a Community Services District for Scotia is being actively pursued. This will fund and provide essential public services currently being managed by the Town of Scotia Company, LLC. The town is complete with a shopping center, school, community recreation center, a picnic area, baseball field and soccer field, all within walking distance.
